The claim seems to be by Cleopatra Records, who also claims Elton John, B.B. King, Bill Haley and the Comets, Kenny Rogers, A Flock of Seagulls, Bob Marley, Miles Davis, and Vanilla Fudge under their umbrella of represented artists. It seems rather fishy to me.

With Manster it was easy because I could see in the
copyright office that there weren't any copyright
renewals since 2005.

I must figure out a way to check older registrations online! :D

You would think if anyone would have a claim it would be NBC.
